Inside the Workflow: A Conversation with Bradley from Repairify
Part 1 of a 2-part series exploring how more repairers across Australia are adopting Remote Services as part of their daily operations.

There’s no spray booth hum in the background. No clang of a dolly hammer or echo of a dropped ratchet. When you talk to Bradley from Repairify, you’re talking to someone behind a screen. But this isn’t some call centre operator reading from a script. Brad came up through the workshops—hands-on, tools in hand. That background means when he’s walking you through an ADAS calibration, vehicle diagnostics, or troubleshooting a scan tool error, he actually gets what you’re dealing with.

Bradley now sits at the centre of Repairify’s Remote Services operation, helping panel shops and workshops across the country complete calibrations, module coding, pre- and post-repair scans—all remotely, all in real time.

“Workshops get in touch with us the moment they’ve bolted a car back together,” he says. “And from there, we handle the calibrations, the scans, the coding. Everything they need to get the job finished properly—and fast.”

Real Solutions for Real Problems

Brad reckons one of the biggest wins with the remote workflow is killing the dead time.

“Some workshops used to line up five or six completed cars and then call a mobile calibration tech to come out,” he explains. “But could potentially wait two to three days before the guy even shows up—and perhaps another couple of days to get through them all. That’s a week’s worth of backlog just sitting there.”

With Remote Services, those same workshops can bolt a car back together, plug in the Repairify device, and complete the vehicle scan, ADAS calibration, or module programming with support from Bradley’s team—no truck bookings, no waiting.

“High-volume shops see the biggest gains in turnaround time—but even lower-volume workshops tell us it’s a game changer,” says Bradley. “They might only get one or two calibration jobs a week, but having us on call means they don’t need to invest in expensive gear or worry about compliance. We’re just there when they need us.”

Getting Set Up

“Bradley doesn’t step foot in the workshops every day—but he definitely has. Both he and Sean handle on-site installs and training when a new workshop signs up for Remote Services. Once the system’s in place, Bradley shifts to remote support, guiding teams through scans, calibrations, and diagnostics from the Repairify hub.”

“We get them set up, make sure they understand how it works, and walk them through their first few jobs. After that, they’re off and running—and they know we’re just a call away.”

Once connected, repairers interact with Bradley and the Remote Services support crew via the Repairify scan tool.

“We can see the calibration results coming through in real time, input the figures into the report, and compare it against OEM tolerances,” he says. “It’s all documented—no grey areas for insurers.”

One thing Bradley’s quick to clarify is what Remote Services actually do.

“We’re not a replacement for a qualified mechanic,” he says. “We work alongside technicians in the field, and are able to offer technical support from the OE manuals to aid technicians in their fault finding.”

It’s not about handing off the hard jobs. It’s about having a specialist on hand who knows exactly what to check, where to look in the OEM procedure, and how to avoid common time-wasters that can derail a repair. Instead, Repairify’s Remote Services team delivers proper automotive diagnostics support: reviewing fault codes, confirming OEM calibration procedures, and guiding repairs with precision. But the tools—and the decision-making—stay with the technician on-site.

The Right Tool for the Job

Some workshops already own aftermarket scan tools and wonder if Repairify still adds value.

“Absolutely,” Bradley says. “Aftermarket tools might cover 75% of the vehicles, but there’s always that 20–25%—the secure gateways and OEM-specific coding jobs—that they just can’t get through.”

The Repairify scan tool isn’t a replacement—it’s a bridge.

“It’s small enough to throw in your toolbox, and if you use it once a month, it’s already paid for itself.”

From module coding to radar calibration, Remote Services integrates seamlessly with what shops already use.

“We’ve got a full coverage chart—we update it all the time,” he says. “It’s one of the first things people ask, and fair enough too.”

What’s Coming

As insurers and OEMs tighten standards around vehicle diagnostics, the case for on-demand access to OEM tools becomes stronger.

“No one’s buying $10,000 scan tools for every make and model,” Bradley says. “But we give them that access, remotely, without the capital outlay.”

Ultimately, Remote Services is about giving power back to the workshop—one calibration at a time.

“When they can finish the job themselves—screw the car back together, run the scan, code the module, and send it out—all in one day—it changes everything,” he says.

That’s what keeps Bradley behind the screen—behind the scenes, but right there when they need him.
